Provided is a revolving electric motor control system comprising a revolving electric motor, a drive circuit connected with a DC power source for converting, when the revolving electric motor regenerates, the output of the DC power source into an alternating current and for converting, when the revolving electric motor regenerates, the output from the revolving electric motor into a direct current, and a control unit for controlling the drive circuit. The control unit decides, when the revolving electric motor regenerates, whether or not the connection between the DC power source and the drive circuit is kept, and controls, if not kept, the drive circuit thereby dropping the electric power regenerated by the revolving electric motor.
