<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in a quadruple tandem configuration capable of providing high image qualities, the qualities equivalent to those of a quintuple tandem type image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The quadruple tandem type color image forming apparatus has toners of total four colors that are a black toner and three color toners of subtractive primary colors, wherein the black toner is a low-concentration toner adjusted such that when a monochromatic solid image of the black toner is output on a recording material to give an equal toner deposition amount of the image to the toner deposition amount of a monochromatic solid image of the color toner, the optical density of the monochromatic solid image of the black toner is approximately half or lower of the optical density of the monochromatic solid image of the color toner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
