PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver-based liquid inorganic antibacterial agent presenting silver or a silver compound in a water soluble silicic acid solution in a good stability, without developing poor dispersion of the silver or silver compounds in the water soluble silicic acid solution, and maintaining the attaching property toward fibrous products or plants becoming the objectives of antibacterial treatments, even without using a binder separately. SOLUTION: This silver-based inorganic antibacterial agent comprises incorporating any of silver nitrate or electrolytic silver in the water soluble silicic acid solution having a ≤60% silicic acid concentration in its dissolved state so as to make a <10,000 ppm silver concentration.
