<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that stability degradation is apt to occur to generate an offset when a DC input is applied to an A/D converter for a long time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A differential comparator includes a differential amplifier, a first changeover switch part, a holding part with a switch function, and a second changeover switch part. The first to fourth analog switches of the first changeover switch part and the first and second multiplexers of the second changeover switch part are complementarily operated to switch a path in the holding part with the switch function, and an inverted input and a non-inverted input being signals input to the differential amplifier are constantly output from an output terminal of the second changeover switch part.
