PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical motor device with a reduction gear wherein lubricating oil can be supplied to a spline joint between the output shaft of a motor and a sun gear, and the output shaft of the motor can be arranged in a motor housing. SOLUTION: The lower end face of the output shaft 5a of the vertical motor is located inside a motor case 19 storing the vertical motor. A protruded spline 24 is formed on the outer peripheral face of a driving shaft 20 of the sun gear 11a. At the lower end of the output shaft 5a, a recessed spline 23 is formed to be engaged with the protruded spline 24. An annular release groove 30 is formed at the lower end of the protruded spline 24.
