<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display can perform reinitialization in response to an abnormal display while restraining increase of a circuit scale required for processing or complication of an arrangement. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television 10 includes a television circuit 11, and a liquid crystal module 12 driven by the television circuit 11. The television circuit 11 includes a means to output a power supply voltage Dc corresponding to the liquid crystal module 12, a digital video signal Vp, and a timing signal Se. The liquid crystal module 12 includes a means to reproduce and output a synchronizing signal Ss in response to the timing signal Se. The television circuit 11 further includes a control part 1 which compares the timing signal Se with the synchronizing signal Ss and determines whether the synchronizing signal Ss may be normal or not and controls whether re-initialization of the liquid crystal module 12 should be done or not by the determination.
