The invention relates to a combined cycle power plant (10) comprising at least one shaft line (60) constituted of a steam turbine (24) and a second generator (8) which is directly driven by the steam turbine (24) and generates alternating current, the output of said generator being connected to a network (21) having a defined network frequency (F), and further comprising at least one turbine line (11) constituted of a gas turbine (12) and a first generator (18) which is directly driven by the steam turbine (12) and generates alternating current having a defined operating frequency, the output of said generator being connected to a network (21) having a defined network frequency. The combined cycle power plant is characterized in that an electronic decoupling device or a variable electronic transmission (27) is interposed between the first generator (18) and the network (21) and decouples the operating frequency from the network frequency. The power station system according to the invention allows a flexible stationary operation at a high overall efficiency and a flexible transient operation.
