<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash apparatus capable of irradiating an object with uniform white light and adjusting the intensity of light irradiated on the object. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The flash apparatus 10 (20, 30) includes a light emitting part 12 (22, 32) for emitting short wavelength light, and a reflecting part 14 (24, 34) having a fluorescent material for changing the short wavelength light into white light, on a reflecting surface 14a (24a, 34a) for reflecting the short wavelength light emitted in a predetermined optical axis direction from the light emitting part 12 (22, 32), and irradiating the object with the white light changed from the short wavelength light by the fluorescent material.
