PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating and cooling device capable of improving controllability of temperature when switching from heating operation to cooling operation. SOLUTION: In this heating and cooling device, a circulation passage 3 for auxiliary cooling is connected with the right side of a jacket part 2 of a reaction furnace 1 through a cooling fluid heat exchange ejector 5, and an outlet side of the cooling fluid heat exchange ejector 5 is connected with a jacket 2 through a cooling fluid collection pipe 4 and is connected with a tank 8 through a cooling fluid return pipe 16. When switching from heating operation to cooling operation, the cooling fluid in the circulation passage 3 for auxiliary cooling is supplied into the jacket part 2 while supplying it into the tank 8 from the cooling fluid collection pipe 4 and the cooling fluid return pipe 16 to improve controllability of temperature.
