<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation loads on an operator for forming an authentication macro for an authentication output device. <P>SOLUTION: An authentication server 14 detects an authentication output device 12X with an authentication macro being unset by acquiring information for model number, authentication mode, authentication device or the like from authentication output devices 12X and 12Y within a system 10, and searching corresponding authentication macros from an authentication macro DB 54. From the model number and authentication mode of the unset authentication output device 12X, an authentication item necessary for authentication (user ID, password, mail address, or the like) is specified. A template of authentication macro for the specified authentication item is searched from template DBs 56 and 82. A similar authentication macro of the other model related to the specified authentication item is searched from an authentication macro DB 54.
