<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sliding bearing from burning and being damaged by reducing the temperature of the bearing, which is used under a high load, resulting in a significant temperature rise thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bearing is formed as a half-split structure, and is divided into an inner circumferential side bearing liner and outer circumferential side bearing base metal. A cooling groove in the circumferential direction is arranged on the outer circumferential side of the load side bearing liner, and cooled lubricating oil is supplied to the cooling groove, and the temperature of a bearing sliding surface is reduced, and the lubricant that increases in temperature due to the cooling and has low viscosity is supplied to the bearing.
