摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microminiaturized bubble motor that achieves a thermal rachet model and is efficiently operated in microscale such as micro scale or nano scale. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The microminiaturized bubble motor is provided with a drive substrate 12 having a continuous surface 11 that is immersed in the liquid 1 and is extended in one direction 2, a driven element 14 that is positioned closer to the continuous surface 11 and can be moved in the direction, and a drive 16 that varies a distance between the drive substrate and driven element. A plurality of asymmetric patterns 13 that are positioned at predetermined pitches in the direction and interfacial energy with the liquid surface is big in the direction and small in a reverse direction are provided on the continuous surface 11 of the drive substrate. The distance between the drive substrate 12 and driven element 14 is varied with the drive 16, the driven element 14 is transitioned between asymmetric potential state and free Brownian motion state, and the formation of the bubbles produced therebetween in the asymmetric potential state allows the driven element 14 to be moved in the direction 2.
