<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high hardness decorative component, particularly, a Pt alloy decorative component, having metallic luster specific to Pt and high surface accuracy, and causing no flaws in use. Ž<P>SOLUTION: B of ≤2.0 wt.% is added to Pd of ≥98.0 wt.% and dissolved to produce Pd-B alloy in which B is uniformly dispersed into Pd, thereafter, the Pd-B alloy of ≤5.0 wt.% is added to Pt of ≥95.0 wt.%, and dissolved to produce a Pt alloy in which B is uniformly dispersed into Pt, or the Pd-B alloy of ≤0.5 wt.% and one or more kinds of elements selected from among Nb, Ta, Ti and Zr of <1.0 wt.% are added to Pt and dissolved to produce Pt alloy in which B and one or more kinds of elements among Nb, Ta, Ti and Zr are uniformly dispersed into Pt, thus the high hardness Pt alloy causing no flaws owing to impact resistance while maintaining its specular properties without losing metallic luster characteristic of Pt can be achieved.
