The seal has a bottom-side retaining section (1) with a retaining lip (2) for anchoring the seal in a retaining groove. A top-side sealing section (3) is attached to the retaining section over profile back sections (4). A closed hollow profile (9) is limited by a top-side connecting wall (6), a support wall (5) and a bottom-side connecting wall consisting of two sections (7, 8). The hollow profile is connected with the profile back sections in a top-side section (3a) of the sealing section. The support wall lies opposite to the profile back sections. The walls are made of foamed material.
