The lock (1) has a closing mechanism with a latch element (3) arranged in a lock housing (2), where the latch element is pivoted between a closed position and an open position. A protection element (4) is arranged within a movement area of the latch element for protective shielding against manipulation of the closing mechanism. The protection element is designed as a closed element with an end i.e. eye, which is connected with the latch element. The protection element is provided with another end extending into the housing in a freely movable manner and made of steel material or spring steel. |
