<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse magnetic field generator capable of generating a pulse magnetic field having a rising time of about pico seconds. <P>SOLUTION: This pulse magnetic field generator is provided with a P or an N type ferrimagnetic body 1, and a pulse light generator 2 for emitting pulse light 4 having a time width of about femto seconds to pico seconds to the ferrimagnetic body 1.
