A braking system for a motorcycle is provided wherein the operation of a pressure regulating unit interposed between hydraulic pressure generating means and a wheel brake is controlled by a control unit so as to regulate hydraulic pressure outputted from the hydraulic pressure generating means and exert the regulated pressure on the wheel brake, the braking system bein g constructed to prevent vibration of an engine from being exerted on the pressure regulating unit. A pressure regulating unit is supported through elastic members floatingly by support members and which are fixed to an engine body mounted on a body frame.
