FIELD: fire safety. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting means. Gas composition for preventing inflammation and explosion of methane-air mixture containing octadecafluorodecahydronaphtalene of formula C10F18, as a fire retarder diluted by carbon dioxide with the following ratio of the components, vol. %: octadecafluorodecahydronaphtalene 5.0-7.0, carbon dioxide - the rest, and the content of the retarder in the protected space is 0.8-0.9 vol.%. ^ EFFECT: production of workable, reliable composition for preventing inflammation and explosion of methane-air mixtures, decrease of retarder consumption with saving its high inhibiting properties. ^ 1 tbl |
