Use of gene NCSAG4 from Neospora caninum for the diagnosis and prevention of neosporosis and as a marker for analysis of the pathogenesis

Disclosed is a gene sequence for NcSAG4, the RNA messenger of said gene, a protein coded thereby and recombinant forms of same, as well as expression vectors and host cells containing the same. These products can be used for the diagnosis of Neospora caninum and vaccination for the prevention of neosporosis.
