PURPOSE: A metallic ion sensor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided o measure concentration of a metal ion in an aqueous solution with high selectivity and rapidly, and to offer excellent processing property and high thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION: A metallic ion sensor includes a core nano particle, a first water soluble polyelectrolyte, and a multi-layered thin film shell. The core nano particle is doped with first light emitting dye. The first water soluble polyelectrolyte includes second light emitting dye and a binding point in which external metal ion is combined. The multi-layered thin film shell surrounds the core nano particle. The first light emitting dye and the second light emitting dye emit the light having a different wavelength.
