The device has a case (1) integrating a high pressure hydraulic pump (2) i.e. hydraulic mechanical pump, driven by a heat engine of a motor vehicle. The pump supplies sufficient fluid for a hydraulic distributor (3) that is connected to coupling and gear shifting units, when a speed of the engine exceeds a predetermined threshold value. A pressurized fluid storing tank (21) of a pressurized fluid accumulator (20) is connected to the distributor for supplying stored fluid to the distributor when the speed of the engine falls below the threshold value.
