PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverted-cell type ice making machine capable of reducing the amount of ice remaining in a state of fixing to a surface of an ice tray in an ice separating process, and properly executing the next ice making process. SOLUTION: This so-called inverted-cell type ice making machine comprises a control device C for executing an ice making process by cooling a cooler 1 in a state of placing the water tray 4 at a horizontal close position, and operating a circulation pump 10, and executing the ice separating process by opening an ice making chamber 2 of the cooler 1 in a state of placing the water tray 4 at an inclined opening position, and heating the cooler 1. The control device C stops squirting of the water from a spiracle 6 to each ice making chamber 2 by the circulation pump 10 before the ice making process is terminated, opens the ice making chamber 2 by tilting the water tray 4, returns the water tray to the horizontal closing position by tilting the water tray 4 again, and executes the ice separating process after keeping the water tray for a prescribed time.
