PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push button switch, which comprises a star wheel rotating by a certain angle in one direction by pressing force of a push button which automatically returns, an indenter pressed by a spring on an outer circumference of the star wheel, a movable contact mounted so as to rotate together with the star wheel, and a fixed contact with which the movable contact is in contact by corresponding to a rotation angle, wherein the button switch can prevent the star wheel from stopping in a position where a ridge part faces to the indenter without increasing an inclination angle of an inclined plane of the ridge part. SOLUTION: A small projection 16 with a rounded tip end is provided on a top of the ridge part 15a of the star wheel 15 to make the small projection 16 difficult to balance when a load is applied from the indenter 7 on the top of the ridge part 15.
