PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in an adhesion property with a metal such as a steel cord using a vulcanization promoter having a vulcanization delaying effect equal to N,N-dicyclohexyl-2-benzothiazolylsulfenamide (DCBS) or more without using a vulcanization delaying agent having a possibility that a problem such as reduction of a physical property of a rubber after vulcanization and blooming is generated. SOLUTION: The rubber composition contains 0.3-10 pts.mass of sulfur and 0.1-10 pts.mass of at least one selected from specific sulfenamide-based vulcanization promoters based on 100 pts.mass of a rubber component.
