PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which performs effective composition and is miniaturized, and a reception method, in the receiver and the reception method for composing signals received by a plurality of antennas. SOLUTION: The receiver 1 includes the plurality of antennas 2a-2d, time domain composition parts 6a and 6b for composing signals input through the antennas 2a-2d in the preceding stage of reception processing, and a frequency domain composition part 11 for further composing the signals output from the time domain composition parts 6a and 6b. Also, in order to highly correlate the signals input to the time domain composition parts 6a and 6b, the antennas 2a and 2b and the antenna 2c and 2d are configured to have a similar installation environment.
