IDLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PURPOSE: An idle controller and method are provided to reduce fuel consumption and exhaust by controlling on/off of a vehicle according to the traffic signal waiting time and idle time. CONSTITUTION: An idle controller comprises a communication terminal(200), a vehicle controller(400), and an idle controller(300). The communication terminal receives traffic signal information transmitted at preset transmission intervals. The vehicle controller judges an idling state and provides idle information. The idle controller performs idle control based on the idle information, compares the traffic signal information and the idle information, and provides starting on/off control signal to the vehicle controller according to the signal waiting time.
