<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device for a vehicle door provided with a striker on either of the vehicle door and a door opening of a vehicle body and a lock part having an opening part allowing the striker to enter when closing the door on the other of them to prevent the occurrence of play of the closed door without fail. <P>SOLUTION: In this lock device for vehicle door, the striker 1 is provided with a wedge member 2 composed of a wedge body 20 forming a substantially trapezoidal tapered peripheral wall having width being gradually reduced toward the direction of entering and a rubber block 3 filled into the wedge body 20, supported and fixed on a shaft member 13, and being oscillated around the shaft member 13 due to torsion of the rubber block 3 at a backward position in the direction of entering into the lock part 5. Even if positional deviation occurs between an opening part 50 of the lock part 5 and the striker 1 when closing the door, the wedge member 2 absorbs the positional deviation by the oscillation, enters the opening part 50 smoothly, and is brought into pressure-contact with the opening part 50 due to repulsive force of the rubber block 3 to prevent the occurrence of play of the door. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
