PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable capable of reducing the possibility of disconnection of an optical fiber generated by laying of eggs of a cicada and the like. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber cable 10 having an optical fiber core line 1, tension members 2 disposed on one side or both sides of the optical fiber core line 1 to be parallel to the optical fiber core line 1, an inner layer (a reinforcing layer 3) integrally coating the optical fiber core line 1 and the tension members 2 and a sheath 6 covering the inner layer, the inner layer has shore D hardness measured according to JIS K7215 (durometer hardness test method of plastics) of 50 or more and has the reinforcing layer having≥0.3 mm coating thickness.
