PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headset wearing umbrella for allowing a user to have a telephone conversation while putting up the umbrella, and to provide a portable telephone unit and its control method, and a program for a headset. SOLUTION: The headset wearing umbrella 100 comprises the headset 101 for performing short distance wireless communication with the portable telephone unit 200. The headset 101 comprises an umbrella opening/closing mechanism 25 for detecting the opening operation and closing operation of the umbrella 100, an operation portion 22 arranged at the surface or its neighborhood of a handle 11 of the umbrella 100, and a control portion 29. The control portion 29 controls the portable telephone unit 200 to perform call termination processing when there is operation by the operation portion 22 at the time of call termination of the portable telephone unit 200 while activating and deactivating the headset 101 according to the opening operation and the closing operation of the umbrella detected by the umbrella opening/closing mechanism 25.
