PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly type packaging box having an internal space of a star-shaped pentagonal section and a predetermined thickness. SOLUTION: The assembly type packaging box comprises a front side plate 2 and a rear side plate 3 having a star-shaped pentagonal part surrounded by folding lines. Sidewall pieces 11a-11e extend to a left boundary of each triangular projecting part of the front side plate. Insertion tongue pieces 13a-13e are projected on their fore ends, and flaps 15a-15e extend to right edge parts of the sidewall pieces. Folding pieces 17a-17e extend to the right boundary of each projecting part, and notches 18a-18e are formed in the center of each folding line. Sidewall pieces 21a-21e extend to a right boundary of each triangular projecting part of the rear side plate. Insertion tongue pieces 23a-23e are projected on their fore ends. Folding pieces 27a-27e extend to the left boundary of each projecting part, and notches 28a-28e are provided at the central part of each folding line. A peripheral paper piece of the front side plate and a peripheral paper piece of the rear side plate are superposed on the rear side plate side and the front side plate side, respectively, while the flaps being folded at an acute angle, and each insertion tongue piece is inserted in a counter notch.
