<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing film for solar battery module improved in long-term reliability by ensuring high insulation to be required in Europe, etc., and suppression of deterioration due to an external environment, and to provide a solar battery module using the film. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing film for solar battery module comprises at least: (i) a resin film layer constituted by including a biaxial orientation foaming film; and (ii) a layer constituted of at least one selected from a group including metal, metal oxide, an inorganic compound, and an organic compound. The biaxial orientation foaming film is constituted of a resin composition having poly-p-phenylene sulfide as a main component, and has apparent specific gravity (ρ) of 0.60-1.30.
