<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a desired destination efficiently, when many destination candidates are displayed in a list. <P>SOLUTION: A navigator can categorize retrieved destination candidates in the order of descending order for each of 200 cases sequentially. Further, the navigator 1 caches a category to which destination candidates displaying on a retrieved result display column 66 belong, and a category which adjoins the ascending and descending directions in a cache memory. At the candidate display screen 60, a previous category button 78 and a succeeding category button 79 displaying each of the front edge and end edge of the category displaying the list at present are displayed. When user touches these buttons, the navigator 1 exchanges the list display of the retrieved result display column 66 into the category which adjoins each of the ascending and descending directions.
