#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves forming a sheet metal shell as a molded piece of two part shells (1, 2) and ridges (3). Bearing eyes (4, 5) are formed at two ends of the sheet metal shell from two pairs of through holes (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b) in the part shells. Contour of the part shells and through-holes are produced by a metal strip or sheet section. Free cuts of the through-holes are formed in a sheet plane that is bent at an angle against a sheet plate in which free cuts of the contour of the part shells are formed, where the angle ranges between 10 degrees and 70 degrees. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for producing a U-shaped guide for a multi-level link axle i.e. rear axle, of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The free cuts of the through-holes are formed in the sheet plane that is bent in the specific angle against the sheet plate in which free cuts of the contour of the part shells are formed, thus reducing number of production steps of the guide, and reducing machine expenditure for execution of the method, and hence reducing production time and manufacturing costs of the guide. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a perspective view of a U-shaped guide. 1, 2 : Part shells 3 : Ridges 4, 5 : Bearing eyes 4a, 4b, 5a, 5b : Through holes 11 : Accommodating hole.
|
