<p>Disclosed is a gel particle measuring apparatus that, when a target substance contained in a sample is measured by a gelation reaction, gel particle production starting points are measured with high sensitivity. The gel particle measuring apparatus comprises a sample cell (1) that receives a sample (S) and a solution containing a reagent (R), an agitation means (2) that agitates a mixed solution (W), which is composed of the sample (S) and the reagent (R) solution and is contained in the sample cell (1), a coherent light source (3) that applies a coherent light (B) to the mixed solution (W) within the sample cell (1), a transmitted light detecting means (4) that is provided at a position that is outside the sample cell (1) and on the opposite side of the coherent light source (3) and detects light transmitted through the mixed solution (W) stored in the sample cell (1), a transmitted light fluctuation measuring means (5) for measuring the fluctuation component of the transmitted light based on the detected output of the transmitted light detecting means (4), and a gel particle production determining means (6) that at least determines the production state of gel particles, which leads to timing of phase transfer of the mixed solution (W) from a sol phase to a gel phase based on the results of measurement of the transmitted light fluctuation measuring means (5).</p> |
