The water turbine (16) comprises a rotary section (160) which rotates on receiving water, and rotation supporting sections (230, 231) for supporting the rotary section (160) rotatably, wherein the rotary section (160) has a plurality of blades (162) extending in the shape of a propeller from the periphery of the center of rotation, and a tubular enclosing section (161) for linking the tips of the plurality of blades (162) so as to surround the tips, the rotation supporting sections (230, 231) include a tubular upstream supporting portion (230) for supporting the circumferential edge of the enclosing section (161) on the side where the rotary section (160) receives water, and a tubular downstream supporting portion (231) for supporting the circumferential edge of the enclosing section (161) on the side where the received water flows out, the upstream supporting portion (230), the enclosing section (161), and the downstream supporting portion (231) form the shape of a casing as a whole, and, when the plurality of blades (162) of the rotary section (160) receive water, the rotary section (160) supported by the upstream supporting portion (230) and the downstream supporting portion (231) rotates.</p> |
