PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable low noise and clean garbage collecting work by the use of independent electric energy without using external electric power, and to prevent break of the work by reducing load variations. SOLUTION: This garbage collecting vehicle is provided with a hydraulic pump 51 feeding energy for driving a sliding cylinder 13 and an oscillating cylinder 14, a generator 41 driven by an engine 40 of a vehicle body 2, an electric double layer capacitor 43 storing the electric power of the generator, and an electric motor 44 driving the hydraulic pump 51. The sliding cylinder 13 and the oscillating cylinder 14 are controlled by a control device 50. and the electric power of the capacitor 43 is fed to the electric motor in the halt condition of the engine 40. Moreover, the discharging amount of the hydraulic pump 51 is throttled upon compression and rise, and increased upon reverse and fall with less load compare to that upon the compression and rise.
