The holder (1) has magnets (4) i.e. high temperature magnets or electromagnets, an element that is fastened at a pressing iron (2) by sticking and an element (6) that is fastened at an ironing table (3) by a fixing clip, where the elements are magnetically drawn. The electromagnet is adjustable using a foot switch. The element fastened at the pressing iron is integrated into a sole of the pressing iron. The element fastened at the ironing table has a flat plate, a flexible foil or a flexible magnetic foil.
