<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misfire during cold start due to the retard of an ignition timing. <P>SOLUTION: In starting an engine 1, the revolution speed of the engine 1 is increased to a prescribed revolution speed corresponding to an operating state by a motor generator 2, then fuel injection is started to start the engine 1. When the engine 1 is cold-started, a cylinder temperature is raised in an ignition timing which is synchronized with an ignition timing in the warm start or which is advanced therefrom, and then the ignition timing is retarded from the ignition timing in the warm start for warming up a catalyst 7. Thus, even when the ignition timing is retarded for warming up the catalyst in cold start of the engine 1, the cylinder temperature is raised, so that it is possible to prevent misfire, and that it is possible to surely prevent deterioration in the HC to be discharged from the engine 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
