PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a local abrasion between a pivot shaft and a coil spring. SOLUTION: A capping head of a capping apparatus includes a resiliently twisting section arranged around the pivot shaft 9, provided between a housing 11 and a roller section, and generating a resilient force inward radially for forming thread grooves in the peripheral face of a cap, and improves the local abrasion by mounting an idling section arranged so as to slide circumferentially on the pivot shaft between the pivot shaft and the resiliently twisting section.
