PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna system, equipped with an EBG structure, which does not require either matching adjustment by shape adjustment of an antenna or a matching circuit, and improves the antenna gain as desired, without causing deterioration in the antenna characteristics, even when only an existent antenna is mounted. SOLUTION: The antenna system 300 comprising the EBG structure 110, having in-phase reflection characteristics, an antenna support 120 provided on the EBG structure 110 and made of an insulator, the antenna 220 supported by the antenna support 120, and an IC 230 connected to the antenna 220 is provided with an antenna support upper conductor 130, which functions as a conductor for impedance matching nearby the antenna 220, thereby performing impedance matching between the antenna 220 and IC 230.
