<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of assisting confirmation work for image quality of a face area. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing unit has: a face detection section for detecting a face existing in an image to decide the face area; an edge extraction section for extracting an edge in the face area to decide the amount of edge; and an output control section for outputting the image, where an area frame is set to the face area, to the image output section when the amount of edge in the face area is equal to or more than a first prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
