PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic input device and electronic equipment, wherein the operation is carried out stably, even if the sensitivity is changed due to the difference in electrostatic capacitances by temperature or person, or due to assembling error at the time of production. SOLUTION: In the electrostatic input device 10 of a vehicular navigation device 1, a distance sensor 4 detects that fingers, or the like, is approaching within a predetermined range of an electrostatic switch 3; and if an operation detection signal of the electrostatic switches 3 is received with an elapse of two seconds or longer, after the distance sensor 4 detects that the fingers, or the like, approach within the predetermined range of the electrostatic switches 3, a microcomputer 12 carries out a control such that a changeover switch 13 switches to a second resistance R2 side for switching to a higher sensitivity mode.
