<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device recording and reproducing a plurality of optical disks by switching an optical path for the light with a specific wavelength. <P>SOLUTION: A deflection element 20 switching a propagation path such as a transmission state and a deflection state of light by applying or not applying a voltage to a liquid crystal layer is disposed. The deflected light is reflected by a mirror 14b, and propagated to the optical disk 16b. The light transmitted through the deflection element 20 is reflected by 14a, and propagated to the optical disk 16a. Thus, satisfactory condensing characteristics are obtained for each of the optical disks with different specifications by using the light of the same wavelength, independently of the state of incident polarization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
