<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous flux dividing element capable of performing recording and playback to/from optical recording media having thicknesses different from each other by using luminous flux having the same wavelength and suppressing the generation of laser noise, and to provide an objective lens optical system and an optical pickup optical system. <P>SOLUTION: In the luminous flux dividing element 5 used together with an objective lens 6 in the optical pickup optical system 100 and an objective lens optical system 10 condensing the luminous flux having wavelengths λ on information recording surfaces of a plurality of kinds of optical disks 200 having transparent substrates having thicknesses different from each other, the incident surface of the luminous flux dividing element 5 is divided into a plurality of regions for each kind of the optical disks 200 and each of the plurality of regions has a surface shape other than a vertical flat plane and capable of condensing the transmitted luminous flux on the corresponding optical disk 200 via the objective lens 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
