PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contour detection method, a contour detection device and a contour detection program for highly precisely detecting a contour of a face organ. SOLUTION: A contour line O approximating to a contour is set in advance. Then, a normal unit vector p in microfine line element having a length dl on the contour line O is calculated. Meanwhile, a gradient vector g of scalar quantity Z(x, y) in a Z map obtained by converting left eye image data LE is calculated. The line integral (summing) of the internal product (microfine evaluation value) of the normal unit vector p related with the microfine line element and the gradient vector g is carried out along the contour line O, so that an evaluation value V is calculated.
