PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel gas feeder for a thermal power plant can supply flame holding fuel instead of heavy oil and/or coke oven gas to a thermal power generation facility using byproduct gas generated from an iron mill as main fuel. SOLUTION: The fuel gas feeder for a thermal power plant is equipped with a main fuel gas feeding means 14 for feeding gas of at least one type or more of mixed gas of mixing blast furnace gas generated from an iron mill, converter gas, or byproduct gas generated from an iron mill to a boiler, a coke oven gas feeding means 32 for feeding coke oven gas generated from an iron mill to the boiler, a gas-hydrate gasifier 120 having a tank can store gas-hydrate and equipped with a rapid gasifying means for rapidly gasifying the stored gas-hydrate, and an alternative coke oven gas feeding means 74 for mixing one part of the fuel gas fed by the main fuel gas feeding means 14 and gas sent out from the gas-hydrate gasifier at a predetermined rate and sending it to the coke oven gas feeding means 32.
