<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of reducing neck injuries of an occupant in abnormal approarch and normal seating. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device for constraining an occupant in a vehicle includes an airbag which is stored in an inflatable and deployable manner while a recess extending in the longitudinal direction in a vicinity of a center on the occupant side during the inflation and deployment and projections located on right and left sides of the recess are formed as a single space, a housing for storing the airbag, and a regulating member with one end thereof being fixed to the housing and the other end thereof being fixed to a bottom of the recess of the airbag. The recess is formed by regulating the movement of a part in a vicinity of the center of the airbag to the occupant side by the regulating member when the airbag is inflated and deployed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
