<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an image processing method, an image reading apparatus and an image data output processing apparatus that implement a precise ruled line extraction process. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device includes a main-scan ruled line extraction part 63 for determining whether a pixel of interest of binary image data of a document image is a black pixel or a white pixel, counting black pixels connected one after another upstream of the pixel of interest of the binary image data with respect to a main scan direction, and if the pixel of interest of the binary image data is a black pixel and the count for the pixel of interest is not less than a preset main-scan ruled line extraction threshold, correcting pixel values of a predetermined number of pixels adjacently upstream of the pixel of interest with respect to the main scan direction to a pixel value corresponding to a black pixel to generate ruled line image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
