PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information acquisition system that has a minor configuration facilitating a usage pattern by using an existing communication system. SOLUTION: A wireless relay is executed between a portable terminal unit 11 of a mobile bodyαlocating near a wireless relay station 10 and a base station 22 possessed by common carriers A, B, and C. During the wireless relay, the base station 22 transmits a notification information request to the wireless area of the wireless relay station 10 and other wireless areas. The wireless relay station 10 executes processing such that a prescribed fixed delay is inserted to a response wireless signal transmitted from the portable terminal unit 11 of the mobile bodyα.
