PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confocal microscope system that can have confocal properties regardless of the magnification of objective lenses.
SOLUTION: The confocal microscope system is configured in such a way that a specimen is irradiated with excitation light for exciting the specimen via a confocal scanner and microscope, and a fluorescent image formed by the excitation of the specimen is input to a camera via the microscope and confocal scanner. In the confocal microscope system, the microscope has the plurality of objective lenses of different magnifications. the confocal scanner has: a Nipkow disk in which a plurality of lines of pin holes of different diameters are formed; a microlens array disk disposed opposite the Nipkow disk and having a plurality of microlenses for condensing the fluorescent image formed by the excitation, to the pin holes; and a plurality of dichroic mirrors of different thicknesses disposed between the Nipkow disk and the microlens array disk. When objective lenses with high (low) magnification are selected, the thick (thin) dichroic mirrors are disposed on the optical axis of the excitation light, thereby making the fluorescent image incident on the pin holes of large (small) diameters.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
